The idea. Dark mode, for everything else.
Dark mode was the first part of UX every app let you choose. OwnUX is everything else: people set how software fits them once (layout, density, wording, text size, keyboard use), and it travels with them. The app keeps its data and permissions, and its own view is one click away. OwnUX is an open specification, started by the Satin team in 2026, and anyone can read it, implement it or help shape it.
What is OwnUXTwo products. One for the people who use software, one for the companies who make it.
Satin for People. A Chrome extension, in development, that gives a calm Today / Next / Blocked view over Jira Cloud, with Linear next. Every change is read back from Jira before it says Done, with Undo.
Satin for Products. The OwnUX SDK companies build in, in development: React first, with web components planned, drawing with their own components. Screens they mark as locked (billing, security, consent) are never re-rendered by OwnUX, and a default 15% holdout measures the effect honestly.
