Productive in week one, in tools you’ve never used. Familiar from day one, with as much help as you want.

Waiting on someone
This is your Today list: work assigned to you that’s due today, live from Orbit’s Jira.
Illustrative workspace. Drag the slider or follow the tour. Help never changes your work.
Week one is mostly finding things. Where are my tasks? What does “Ready for Dev” mean? The interface is new.
A familiar layout from day one. Your list or board, spacing and labels, built from the same live records as everyone else’s.
Statuses explained. In development: each workspace’s statuses explained in plain words, with the original name beside.
Help you can turn down. A walk-through, inline hints or a minimal view. It only changes when you move it.
Shortcuts you already know. Keep your last tool’s keys for the same actions, wherever an equivalent action exists.
The real thing, one click away. Switch to the tool’s own page whenever a colleague points at something there.
No shortcuts round the rules. Satin never bypasses the workspace’s permissions or workflows, and confirms every change with the source.
Interface DNA
Two minutes, once. Then every supported tool starts the way you like.
In development: Satin will ask five plain questions on first use, with a live preview. Leave any answer as it is, or skip them all. Your answers become your Interface DNA: a profile you own, and can change, export or delete.
- Stored on your device by default. Sync is opt-in.
- Only what you chose. Satin never builds a hidden profile.
- Export, import or reset to defaults whenever you like.
Question 1 of 5
How would you like your tasks laid out?
A list gives each task a row. A board puts each group in a column. A table lines up the details.

Illustrative setup, in development. Each answer shows in the preview at once; nothing is saved until Done, and skipping changes nothing.
Your first week, your way. Lean on Satin while the workspace is new, then step back when it isn’t.
- 1
Day one
Install Satin, answer the five setup questions (in development) or skip them, and connect the new workspace through its official sign-in.
- 2
Open your work
Your assigned tasks appear as Today, Next and Blocked. Plain-word explanations of the workspace’s statuses are in development.
- 3
Learn as you go
Follow the walk-through when you want it, and keep hints on while the vocabulary is still new.
- 4
Turn the help down
When the workspace feels familiar, slide to minimal. It’s your call, and you can always slide back.
New company-wide tool? Keep your habits. Satin lets people keep their way of working while the organisation changes the tool.
Same patterns, new tool. When both tools are supported, your layout, words and shortcuts carry across, wherever equivalent actions exist.
Everyone at their own pace. Each person chooses their own guidance and layout, so extra help never slows anyone else.
Team presets, later. Shared presets and admin policies are planned for a later version. Today, Satin is for individuals.
Questions from new joiners, answered.
In developmentPersonal mode on Jira Cloud is being built now. Linear and Familiar mode are planned for a later phase.
Satin connects with your own account through the tool’s official sign-in and sees only what you can already see. Some organisations block third-party apps, and Satin respects that, so ask IT first.
